Howard Jones — Things Can Only Get Better Tour at the Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre (SDSU campus) on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 6:30 PM. Concert parking is $30 prepaid / $40 day-of (Garages 3 & 6/6B), cashless, and it fills; the Green Line crowds the on-campus SDSU station after the show. EGT marquee flat round trip from anywhere in metro San Diego: $150 BMW i7 (2, $75/seat) · $200 Rivian R1S (up to 4, $50/seat) · $250 Escalade IQ-L (up to 5, $50/seat) — curb drop near the amphitheatre, driver staged in Mission Valley, rolls when you walk out. Each vehicle runs two round trips per event (early drop + late drop); the late-drop party gets a late pickup about 30-45 minutes after the event ends. Limited early/late slots per vehicle — book early. Call (858) 522-0264.
The Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre is an outdoor amphitheatre on the SDSU campus, right next to the Green Line Trolley's on-campus SDSU station. Concert parking is $30 prepaid / $40 day-of in Parking Garages 3 and 6/6B — cashless only — and the closest garages fill well before showtime. On a Friday evening the garage rush stacks on top of the I-8/I-15 commute load.
Because it is open-air, the venue lets out fast in one wave: roughly 4,800 people head for the garages and the trolley platform at the same time. The Green Line funnels the whole crowd through one on-campus station, and the campus exits onto I-8/I-15 take the rest of the load at once.
EGT's play: a curb drop near the amphitheatre before the show, the driver staged in Mission Valley during it, and a pickup that rolls the moment you text. No prepaid garage, no platform crush, no surge.
Why the price beats the market: the flat rate covers the whole night — both legs — for what hourly services charge before the encore even ends. There is no hourly clock and no staged-time billing: you pay for the two rides, not the hours in between.
Event & venue details per the official Cal Coast Open Air Theatre calendar (as.sdsu.edu/calcoast). Checked .
Plenty of fans travel in for an 80s synth-pop night like this with no idea how SDSU and Mission Valley traffic work. EGT covers the whole trip, not just the venue: SAN airport pickup when you land, your hotel, and the round trip to the amphitheatre on show night — one operator, flat rates, named driver, no surge.
Out of town and planning by phone? Call or text (858) 522-0264 and an owner walks you through airport timing, hotel-to-venue, and the post-show exit before you book.
Pick your vehicle and EGT calls you back to confirm — limited early/late slots per vehicle, confirmed in the order requests arrive. Prefer to skip the form? Call (858) 522-0264 or text us — an owner answers.
