SAN airport flat $65 (central SD) · $40 downtown hotel ↔ Convention Center · 100% electric, no surge · (858) 522-0264
TL;DR
Friday, July 24, 2026 is a full Comic-Con day at the San Diego Convention Center, 111 Harbor Drive — exhibit hall, Hall H, and the heaviest press, studio, and industry movement of the show. EGT covers three demand types: SAN airport transfer flat $65 from central San Diego (flight-tracked, no surge); $40 flat downtown hotel ↔ Convention Center; and discreet executive point-to-point in the BMW i7 for talent handlers, press, and business attendees. Fleet: BMW i7 (2), Rivian R1S (up to 4), Escalade IQ-L (up to 5 + gear). Named driver, 100% electric. Call (858) 522-0264.
Friday is the industry day — and the movement is nonstop
By Friday the Con is at full crowd and Harbor Drive — the single downtown artery to the Convention Center — is absorbing the peak of the show's roughly 135,000 attendees along with the studio, press, and trade presence that concentrates on this day. It is not just fans getting to a panel; it is talent handlers running between the hall and a Gaslamp offsite activation, press making a hard interview slot, and business attendees moving from a hotel suite to a dinner across downtown.
Convention-week road fact (official): Harbor Drive is closed to regular vehicle traffic between First Avenue and Park Boulevard — Friday July 24, 7:00 AM–10:00 PM — per Comic-Con International's Harbor Drive advisory. Only Ace garage-pass holders, ADA, and emergency vehicles are exempt, so the curb directly in front of the Convention Center is unreachable by car all day. A timed press call or client drop has to be planned around that closure — EGT's named driver stages at the First Avenue / Gaslamp perimeter or the Park Boulevard side and confirms the exact open curb by text before every drop and pickup.
That mix is why Friday is EGT's best executive day of Con week. The BMW i7 is a quiet, unbranded electric sedan with a named driver who works downtown daily and knows how to hit a timed drop when Harbor Drive is crawling. Point-to-point between the Convention Center, offsite venues, hotel suites, and dinners — flat published rates, no surge, no meter running through a long meeting.
And Friday still carries the same arrival load as any Con day: fly-in attendees landing at SAN with no default San Diego car service, discovering their operator the week of the show. EGT is that operator — a flat SAN airport transfer at $65 from central San Diego, flight-tracked, named driver at baggage claim.
Event dates per the official Comic-Con International calendar; venue location per the San Diego Convention Center listing. Checked ; Harbor Drive closure windows re-verified .
Flat published rates — no surge, no Con-week markup
EGT's Comic-Con pricing is the same published flat rate we run all year. The airport transfer and the downtown local ride are fixed at booking:
| Trip | Vehicle | Flat rate | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| SAN airport ↔ central San Diego (Downtown / Gaslamp / Marina) | BMW i7 (2) | $65 | Flight-tracked, either direction |
| SAN airport ↔ central San Diego | Rivian R1S (up to 4) | from $65 | Rate varies by neighborhood — call to confirm |
| SAN airport ↔ central San Diego | Escalade IQ-L (up to 5 + gear) | from $65 | Best per-seat value for a group |
| Downtown hotel ↔ Convention Center (local) | Any vehicle | $40 | One pickup, one drop-off |
| Executive point-to-point downtown (per run) | BMW i7 (2) | from $40 | Discreet, unbranded; block-of-time on request |
Consistency over extraction: EGT does not surge a headline event, and it does not surcharge the executive lane. The SAN transfer is the published $65 from central San Diego and the local downtown hop is the published $40 — the same on Comic-Con Friday as on any Friday. Con week changes availability, not price.
Per-seat math — why a full vehicle wins
The fare is flat per vehicle, so a crew moving together splits one fare while an executive rider gets the whole i7 to themselves:
- Escalade IQ-L, 5 riders + gear: the $40 downtown local run is about $8 a seat — room for badges, samples, and cosplay a sedan can't take.
- SAN airport in an IQ-L for 5: a $65 airport transfer is about $13 a seat, flight-tracked.
- BMW i7 executive: the whole sedan, one or two riders, discreet and unbranded — flat published rate, no surge through a long meeting.
Two round trips per vehicle — early drop, late drop
Each EGT vehicle runs two round trips per event window — an early drop and a late drop. On Friday that typically means an early run for the industry crowd making morning meetings and the crush of a big ballroom panel, and a later run for evening dinners and offsite activations. Slots per vehicle are limited and confirmed in the order requests arrive. It is live availability, not a hard ceiling — but the closer to Con week, the fewer slots remain, and the executive i7 is the first to hold out for repeat clients. When they fill, EGT opens a cancellation list. Book early.
Flying in, basing downtown, or running a client schedule?
EGT covers the whole trip, not just the venue: SAN pickup when you land, the daily $40 downtown hops, and discreet i7 executive movement between meetings, offsite venues, and dinners. Running a talent or press schedule for the day? Reserve a block of time and the same named driver stays with you. Out of town and planning by phone? Call or text (858) 522-0264 and an owner walks you through airport timing, the executive schedule, and multi-day holds before you book.
