Rideshare is the wildcard: an UberX can undercut everything on a quiet Tuesday and pass a taxi on a Friday evening, because the price is set at request time. None of the flat-rate figures above move with demand — but only some of them are all-in. The 619 Limo base becomes about $120 after its checkout fee; a taxi and most private shuttles still expect gratuity on top.
Why the trip prices the way it does
Del Mar sits about 21 miles north of San Diego International Airport via I-5 — a 25-to-35-minute run outside of rush hour. Early flights are where flat rates earn their keep: a 4:30 AM pickup out of Del Mar costs exactly what the page says, with the driver confirmed by name the night before. On the return, your flight is tracked into SAN and the 30-minute curbside wait is already in the price — you text your driver when you land, and Terminal 2 pickups use Zones S, T, U or V.
