The Old Globe sits in the heart of Balboa Park. The setting is gorgeous, but the logistics are real: Balboa Park parking is free, which means the closest lots fill early on performance nights and overflow pushes you to distant spots deep in the park.
When the show ends, you're walking back across a dark park to wherever you finally found a space, then everyone funnels toward the same exits and the Sixth Avenue and Park Boulevard arteries at once. EGT drops you near the Globe complex entrance, stages the driver close by, and rolls when you text - no hunting for the car in the dark, no parking-lot crawl, no driving home after a glass of wine.
