The terminal & the trip
- Where: B Street Pier Cruise Ship Terminal, 1140 N. Harbor Drive, on the downtown Embarcadero; the Port Pavilion at Broadway Pier serves as a second terminal (Port of San Diego).
- From the airport: ~3 miles, roughly 10 minutes — among the easiest airport-to-cruise transfers in the country.
- Lines calling San Diego include Disney, Holland America, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Virgin Voyages, MSC and others across the 2026–27 season (Port cruise operations).
- The 2026–27 season is a three-ship season. Disney Magic sails from San Diego from Monday, September 21 on a Baja and Mexican Riviera rotation; Disney Wonder homeports here from early October through April; and Royal Caribbean's Serenade of the Seas begins a 3-, 4- and 7-night Mexico rotation from October 2. In practice B Street Pier turns a ship on most days of the week from early October — October 1–3 alone carries six ship calls — though only four of them turn a ship, and one of those four is a segment exchange rather than a full-ship changeover.
- Not every call is an embarkation. Some ships stop in San Diego for the day on a one-way coastal run and sail the same evening, so there is no boarding or disembarking wave at all. If you tell us the ship and the date, we will confirm which kind of call yours is and time the pickup to your actual boarding or debarkation window — not to a published dock time.
