Both Ends Inside The Zone

Your pickup and drop-off both need to be within the EGT Neighborhood Zone boundary. Ocean Beach to North Park to Downtown — all inside. Airport, LAX, or Temecula? Those are separate rates (and worth it).

Does the $50 rate apply to rides to the airport?
No. Airport transfers — SAN, LAX, SNA, CBX — are priced separately and explicitly excluded from the Zone rate. Both your pickup and drop-off must be inside the neighborhood zone boundary. Rides to San Diego International start at $145.
What if my drop-off is just outside the zone?
Call us and we'll give you a confirmed rate before you book — always. For short trips just outside the zone (like Coronado, Mission Beach, Kensington, or North Clairemont), the rate is close to zone pricing. We don't surprise you.
What cars does EGT use?
100% electric fleet — BMW i7 and Rivian R1S. No hybrids, no gas vehicles. Climate-controlled, completely quiet, fully charged for every ride. This isn't a rideshare with a phone holder on the dash.
How do I book? Do I need an app?
No app. Call (858) 585-6957. A person answers — the owner or a direct team member. You confirm your pickup and drop-off, they confirm your rate. Done. Advance booking and same-day rides both work.
What is the EGT 1K Loyalty Program?
The 1K Program drops the zone rate to $40 per ride. Members also get priority booking, confirmed rates on all routes, and no-surcharge guarantees across the full service area. Call to ask about membership.
Does EGT really never surge?
Correct. EGT doesn't use dynamic pricing on any ride. The $50 zone rate at 2 AM on New Year's Eve is the same as 2 PM on a Wednesday. This is a deliberate business decision — not a promotional offer that expires.
