Flat round trip from San Diego: $300 BMW i7 · $350 Rivian R1S · $400 Escalade IQ-L · three round trips per date · (858) 522-0264

TL;DR

Sip & Stroll at SoFi Stadium, Inglewood — Saturday, September 12, 2026, 6:00 PM. A curated wine tasting from The Hilt and The Paring with bites and a behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium's premium spaces. Tickets are $149.99 and the venue calls availability very limited. Two things make the transport question different from a normal SoFi night: it is a tasting event, and Amtrak Surfliner service on the San Diego–LA corridor is suspended that entire weekend with no bus bridge. EGT runs the flat round trip: $300 BMW i7 (2, $150/seat), $350 Rivian R1S (up to 4, $88/seat), $400 Escalade IQ-L (up to 5, $80/seat) — door to curb both ways, driver staged through the tasting, no surge, no parking pass, and nobody in your party pouring out a glass to drive. Three round trips per date. Call (858) 522-0264.

September 12–13, 2026: the train is not an option

Amtrak Pacific Surfliner service is suspended across the entire San Diego–Los Angeles corridor on September 12 and 13, with no bus bridge in place. On most SoFi dates the rail-plus-transit route is a slow but real fallback. On this date it does not exist — which leaves driving yourself to a wine tasting, or a private round trip. The event, from the venue

Sip & Stroll is SoFi Stadium's own wine-tasting evening: a curated selection from The Hilt and The Paring paired with bites, plus a behind-the-scenes tour of spaces the public normally never sees — The Hilt Wine Bar, the team interview rooms, premium clubs and suites. Doors at 6:00 PM, Saturday, September 12, 2026. Tickets are $149.99 through the stadium's official Ticketmaster link, and SoFi describes availability as very limited.

The venue also offers special discounts for groups of four or more, booked through its group-ticket form. That detail is worth reading twice if you are coming from San Diego, because four is exactly the number that makes the drive worth solving properly.

Event date, start time, ticket price, wine partners, tour inclusions and group-discount policy per the official SoFi Stadium Sip & Stroll event page. Checked — confirm ticket availability and pricing with the venue.

A tasting is not a concert. The math is different.

At a stadium show you can at least argue about who drives. At a wine tasting the drinking is the ticket — you paid $149.99 for the pour. Driving yourself from San Diego means one person in your party tastes nothing, all evening, and then drives 125 miles down the 405 and I-5 on a Saturday night.

The rest of the math is the ordinary SoFi math: parking is prepaid, mobile-only and zone-locked with no day-of gate sale, and fuel for the 250-mile round trip runs roughly $40–$70. This is a small, ticketed evening rather than a 70,000-seat event, so you will not fight a stadium egress — the real cost is the sober driver and the late return.

OptionCash cost (party of 4)Per seatWhat you still deal with

EGT Escalade IQ-L (5 seats)$400 flat round trip$80Nothing
EGT BMW i7 (2 seats)$300 flat round trip$150Nothing — the two-person version

Against a $149.99 ticket, $88 a seat is well under a third of what you already spent to be there — and it is the part that decides whether all four of you actually drink the wine you paid for.

Parking policy per SoFi Stadium parking & transportation. Rail suspension per the Sep 12–13 LOSSAN corridor closure. Checked .

Groups of four: the venue discount and the vehicle line up

SoFi discounts Sip & Stroll tickets for parties of four or more. EGT's Rivian R1S carries exactly four at $350 flat round trip — $88 per seat, and the Escalade IQ-L carries five at $400 — $80 per seat. Book the group tickets with the venue, then put the whole party in one vehicle: one pickup, one flat number, one bill to split, and everybody walks in together.

Couples are the other natural shape for this evening — the BMW i7 at $300 round trip is the two-person version of the same removal of the drive.

Saturday timing from San Diego

For a 6:00 PM start, plan to leave San Diego around 2:30–3:00 PM. SoFi is about 125 miles and 2h15m in clear conditions; Saturday afternoon northbound on I-5 and the 405 is the variable, not stadium traffic. Your driver watches the corridor, confirms the pickup the day before, stages near the stadium through the tasting, and rolls when you walk out — whatever time that is.

Coming off a flight, or hosting guests? EGT runs the SAN airport pickup and the stadium round trip as one booking with one operator, so a visiting party never touches a rental counter.

Flying in or basing in San Diego?

You do not have to stay in Inglewood. Many visitors fly into San Diego (SAN) or are already here for the beach, Gaslamp, and better hotel value, then head up to SoFi for the event. EGT runs the door-to-door round trip from your San Diego hotel or neighborhood up to the stadium and back the same night - no LA hotel, no rental car, no parking app, and no post-event drive. Keep your San Diego base; EGT handles the ~125 miles each way.

Three round trips per date — then it's a cancellation list

$300 BMW i7 (2) · $350 Rivian R1S (up to 4, $88/seat) · $400 Escalade IQ-L (up to 5, $80/seat), flat, round trip from anywhere in metro San Diego. First-come, first-served — and this is a no-trains weekend, so the corridor is busier than a normal Saturday.
