Procedure ride — flat round trip from $120, escort rides free, no wait charge

Direct answer: Elite Green Transportation runs licensed flat-rate procedure transport across La Jolla and UTC (Zone 2). Round trip $150, escort rides free, no waiting charge, pre-dawn pickups routine. We carry ambulatory passengers and their escort; we are not a medical transport service and we are not your responsible adult. (858) 522-0264.
TL;DR: La Jolla and UTC facilities require a ride and an escort, and most will not release you to a rideshare. We run the two legs at a flat rate with your escort included.

The facilities and what they publish

9850 Genesee Avenue is the busiest single address for this service in the county — it holds both Scripps Ambulatory Surgery Center at the XiMED building (Suite 100) and La Jolla Endoscopy Center (Suite 980).

“For your safety, we cannot release you alone to a taxi or Uber service.”— La Jolla Endoscopy Center, published on their own site

Scripps ASC at XiMED publishes hours of “Mon - Fri: 5 am - 5 pm” (source). A 5 a.m. facility open means a 4:15 a.m. pickup, in the dark, in a part of town with genuinely difficult medical-campus parking. That is the trip.

Also in Zone 2: UC San Diego Health La Jolla, Moores Cancer Center (3855 Health Sciences Dr.), Surgical Center of San Diego in Sorrento Valley (4910 Directors Place), and Scripps Clinic Carmel Valley ASC (3811 Valley Center Dr., published “Mon - Fri: 6 am - 7 pm”).

The rate is per vehicle, not per person — your escort rides at no additional charge. The round trip is two scheduled legs: we take you in, and we come back for you when the unit calls. There is no hourly meter and no waiting charge.

The rate includes gratuity, tolls and waiting time. There is no tip line, no surge, no early-morning surcharge, no extra-passenger fee and no percentage service charge. The figure you are quoted before the procedure is the figure you pay after it.

Frequently asked

Can my driver be my responsible adult?

No. 42 CFR 416.52 requires the facility to discharge you in the company of a responsible adult, and a paid driver does not satisfy that. We drive you and your escort; we never claim to be the escort.

Does my escort cost extra?

No. The rate is per vehicle. Your escort rides free, both ways.

Do you charge for waiting?

No. Two scheduled legs, no hourly meter.

What if I need a wheelchair or gurney?

Then we are the wrong service and we will say so. Those are separately licensed categories in California.
