Getting to Torrey Pines — the honest version
Torrey Pines Golf Course sits on the coastal bluff off North Torrey Pines Road in La Jolla, with very limited parking at the course itself. For tournament week the organizers direct most spectators to a paid park-and-ride from the Del Mar Fairgrounds (with frequent shuttles to the course), and they recommend rideshare because parking is so constrained. A dedicated rideshare/drop-off area operates near the Gliderport entrance on Torrey Pines Scenic Drive.
That makes a flat-rate car the path of least resistance: instead of driving north to Del Mar, parking, and riding a shuttle back south to the course — then reversing it all at the end of the day — EGT drops you at the spectator drop-off and is staged for your return. For a foursome, the Escalade IQ-L at $100 round trip on a weekday round is $20 a seat, often at or below parking plus shuttle plus the surge home.

The tournament
The Sentry at Torrey Pines is a PGA Tour event played on the municipal courses at Torrey Pines, including the tougher South Course that has hosted multiple U.S. Opens. Beginning in 2027, Sentry Insurance is the title sponsor — the event was previously the Farmers Insurance Open, whose final edition was in early 2026. Sentry previously sponsored the PGA Tour's Tournament of Champions at Kapalua.
