1. The Only Two Places SDSU Lets You Park — and What They Cost
Viejas Arena sits on the SDSU campus at 5500 Canyon Crest Drive. For concerts the university designates exactly two structures for arena guests: Parking Structure 12 (the closest, off Canyon Crest Drive) and Parking Structure 7. The published rate is $45 per vehicle, payable on arrival by credit, debit, Google Pay or Apple Pay — no cash, or prepaid through the event's page. The structures usually open 90 minutes before doors, and there is a 7'4" clearance — a lifted truck or a roof box will not fit.

When the encore ends, the two structures empty onto Canyon Crest Drive and College Avenue at the same moment, and SDSU's own parking page currently carries a construction advisory: "expect delays exiting onto Canyon Crest Drive." The Green Line trolley does not relieve it — the SDSU Transit Center is the only station on campus, underground, and the same 12,400 people who didn't drive are funnelling down one set of escalators to it.
Budget 30–45 minutes to get clear of the College Area by car on a sold-out night, then the drive home. A rideshare pickup means standing on College Avenue while the app surges against every other person doing the same thing.
