  • Round trip: book your arrival and your departure together, in one request, and save $20 on the car.
  • Studio rate: when five or more round trips are booked under one studio's name, every round trip in that studio moves to the studio rate, including the ones booked earlier. Put your studio name on the request.
  • One car per trip: up to 5 passengers in the Escalade IQ-L. Two families on the same flight can share a car and split the fare.
  • Included: flight tracking, a 20-minute curbside wait, help with bags, no surge.

Elite Green private carBooked ahead, flight tracked, driver waiting curbside at arrivals, straight to the Gaylord.$80–$120 per car each way. Round trips from $130 per car at the studio rate.15–25 min drive, no pickup waitDance families with costume bags, three to five people on the same flight, and early or late flights.Book ahead: our fleet is small and runs first come, first served. For one person traveling light, the trolley or UberX is cheaper.

Our take: one adult with a backpack and a daytime flight should take the trolley or an UberX. A dance family with garment bags and a costume case, or several families on the same flight, comes out close on cost and well ahead on certainty with a booked car. The same five people in UberX need two cars, roughly $70–$110 each way before tips and surge, against $190 for the round trip in one Escalade IQ-L at the studio rate.

Planning the weekend

  • Flying in Thursday or Friday: send your flight number with the request. We track it and move the pickup if you are late.
  • Sunday after the closing show: the typical schedule ends at 4:30 PM. For a domestic flight, plan a pickup at the Gaylord about 95 minutes before departure. A 7:30 PM flight means a 5:55 PM pickup.
  • Monday morning flights: all three cars are open Monday. Early pickups before 7 AM need 24 hours' notice.
  • Costumes and bags: tell us your bag count, including garment bags and costume cases, so we match the car to the load.
  • Car seats: we do not provide them. Bring your own car seat or booster and we give you time at the curb to install it, at no charge.
  • Dancers under 18: tell us who is riding and who is meeting them. See our minor and teen transportation page.
  • Staying at another hotel? We also run daily rides between nearby hotels and the Gaylord. Ask when you book.

Questions from dance families

When and where is 24 Seven Dance Convention in San Diego in 2026?

24 Seven Dance Convention's San Diego stop runs November 20–22, 2026 at the Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center, 1000 H Street, Chula Vista, CA 91910. 24 Seven posts the San Diego competition and workshop schedules one week before the event. The host hotel block is sold out, so many families are staying at nearby hotels.

How far is the Gaylord Pacific from San Diego airport?

About 12 miles. The drive from San Diego International Airport (SAN) to the Gaylord Pacific in Chula Vista takes 15–25 minutes on I-5 South in normal traffic.

How much is a private car from SAN to the Gaylord Pacific for 24 Seven?

Elite Green Transportation charges a flat rate per car, each way: $80 in the BMW i7 (up to 2 passengers), $100 in the Rivian R1S (up to 4) and $120 in the Cadillac Escalade IQ-L (up to 5). No surge, flight tracking and a 20-minute wait are included. Call or text (858) 522-0264.

Is there a discount for a round trip or for a whole dance studio?

Yes. Book both airport legs together and the round trip is $140 in the BMW i7, $180 in the Rivian R1S or $220 in the Escalade IQ-L. When one studio books five or more round trips, every family in that studio pays the studio rate: $130, $160 or $190 per round trip. Each trip is its own private car.

What is the cheapest way from SAN to the Gaylord Pacific?

Public transit. Take the free San Diego Flyer bus from the terminal to Old Town Transit Center, ride the Blue Line trolley south to H Street ($3 per person since October 1, 2026), then walk about 0.7 miles or catch the free Bayfront circulator (8 AM to 6 PM). Plan on 75–90 minutes.

Is Uber or a booked car better for a dance family?

For one or two people with light bags, UberX is usually cheaper at about $35–$55. For a family with garment bags and costume cases, or several families on the same flight, a booked car is close in cost per person and removes surge and pickup-wait risk. Five people in the Escalade IQ-L at the studio rate pay $38 each for both legs.

Can our studio book several cars at once?

Yes. We assign one private car to each trip, with up to 5 passengers per car. Book one trip per flight group and we stage the cars for each arrival. Our fleet is small, so availability is first come, first served.

Do you provide car seats or booster seats?

No. Parents bring and install their own car seat or booster, and we build in extra time at the curb for it at no charge.

Do we pay a deposit?

No deposit and no prepayment. You pay after each ride by cash, Zelle, Venmo or a card payment link.

What if our flight is delayed?

We track your flight, so a delay moves your pickup with it. A 20-minute curbside wait is included.

When should we book the Sunday ride back to the airport?

Book it with your arrival. On 24 Seven's typical schedule the closing show runs 3:00 to 4:30 PM Sunday. For a domestic flight, plan a Gaylord pickup about 95 minutes before departure: a 7:30 PM flight means a 5:55 PM pickup.
