Hourly Car Service in San Diego — $175 an Hour, $1,200 for a Full Day
A driver and a car for as long as you need them. Multiple stops, waiting, a schedule that changes on the night. Two-hour minimum, no mileage cap in the county.
TL;DR
$175/hr BMW i7 · $200/hr SUV (Rivian R1S or Escalade IQ-L) · 2-hour minimum · $1,200 flat for a full 8-hour day. No mileage cap inside San Diego County, no overtime surcharge, tolls inside. Going out of county? We quote a flat rate instead, and it is usually cheaper.
The rates

The two terms people actually get caught by
No mileage cap inside San Diego County
The hour is the unit, not the odometer. You will not be watching a mileage counter while you decide whether to add a stop, and there is no per-mile overage waiting at the end. For comparison, a large international booking platform includes 25 miles per booked hour and bills the excess. We do not do that in our own county.
No overtime surcharge
Dinner runs long, the meeting goes another round, the flight slips. Extra hours bill at the same hourly rate. There is no penalty multiplier and no rounding up to the next block.
And one thing we will talk you out of
Hourly is the wrong tool for a long run out of the county, and we will say so. Those trips are sold as flat rates that almost always beat the clock — Disneyland or Anaheim $375 one way, Palm Springs $475 one way, the Rose Bowl $500 round trip, SoFi Stadium from $400 round trip, LAX $425. Tell us where you are going and we will quote the flat.
When hourly is the right booking
- A night with more than two stops. Dinner, then a show, then home. Three point-to-point fares, or one car that waits.
- An executive day. Four meetings across Sorrento Valley, UTC and downtown, with the schedule moving all morning.
- A wedding. Four-hour minimum, one vehicle, one driver, no re-booking between the ceremony and the exit.
- A day you cannot predict. House-hunting, a film shoot, a client visit, a family in town with a loose plan.
- A full day out. Eight hours at $1,200 works out at $150 an hour, so a long day is cheaper per hour than a short one.
When it is not
A single airport run is a flat zone rate — $65 to $115 depending where you are, never the clock. One trip across town is a point-to-point flat. If the whole booking is one A-to-B, the flat is cheaper and we will quote it.
What you get for the hour
- A 100% electric vehicle — BMW i7 eDrive50, Rivian R1S or Cadillac Escalade IQ-L. No hybrid tier and no gas fallback, because there is no non-electric half of this fleet.
- Your driver, named in advance. One San Diego company holding California TCP #0046494-A, owning the cars and employing the driver. Nothing is auctioned to a third party.
- $1.5M commercial liability and a 5.0 Google rating.
- Gratuity at your discretion. No surcharge to work out at midnight.
