Not a marketing claim — a running log. Every time an EGT event date reaches full commitment, it gets a dated entry on this page. Here's what the record says about how early to book.
📞 Book Before the Date Closes: (858) 522-0264Reverse chronological. Each entry is recorded when the last vehicle for that date is committed. Vehicle states also publish live on each event page and in EGT's availability feed.
| Event date | Event | Sold out on | Lead time | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jul 4, 2026 | Big Bay Boom July 4 fireworks — San Diego Bay | Jul 4, ~2:00 PM | Day-of (7 hours before showtime) | All three vehicles, every timed block. Demand arrived in the final 24 hours — typical for single-night city events. |
| Jul 11, 2026 | Chris Stapleton Night 2 — North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre | ~Jul 2 | ~9 days | Full operational fleet committed; day-of callers went to the cancellation list. |
| Jul 10, 2026 | Chris Stapleton Night 1 — North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre | ~Jul 3 | ~7 days | Booked alongside Night 2 — one caller requested all three vehicles for the pair. |
| Jun 28, 2026 | World Cup Round of 32 — SoFi Stadium (from San Diego) | pre-match week | Days–weeks | Sold out; cancellation list only. |
| Jun 25, 2026 | World Cup Türkiye–USA — SoFi Stadium (from San Diego) | pre-match week | Days–weeks | Sold out; cancellation list only. |
| Jun 12, 2026 | World Cup Opening Day — SoFi Stadium (from San Diego) | 5 minutes after go-live | Instant | The fastest sell-out on record. Set the pattern for every SoFi World Cup date since. |
Log opened July 4, 2026 with all sell-outs from the 2026 summer season to date. Entries are added the day a date closes and are never edited after the fact.
Dates that are partially committed as of July 4, 2026 — the next candidates for the log above:
Two distinct demand curves show up in the log. Marquee, ticket-anchored events — World Cup matches, major amphitheatre and stadium concerts — close early: people who spent hundreds on tickets lock their transportation a week or more out, and the fastest dates go in minutes. Single-night city events — fireworks, festivals, game nights — close late but hard: demand concentrates in the final 24 hours, and the date can go from open to sold out between breakfast and mid-afternoon, exactly as the July 4 Big Bay Boom did.
Why sold out means sold out. EGT is not a rideshare pool. It's a fixed premium fleet with published flat rates that never surge. Confirmed bookings carry a named driver and vehicle committed to a window — riders don't cancel out, so inventory doesn't reopen. On big dates the thing that runs out is the fleet, not your budget: the last booking pays the same flat rate as the first.
What this means for you: if your date is on a ticket, book when you buy the ticket. If it's a city event, book the week before — day-of works only on quiet dates.
Per the dated record above: marquee dates (World Cup, major concerts) close a week or more out — book two-plus weeks ahead. Single-night city events like fireworks can sell out by early afternoon the day of. Book the moment plans are firm; confirmed inventory doesn't come back.
It's a log, not a slogan — every entry above carries the date it closed, recorded the day it happened, and vehicle states publish live on each event page. Summer 2026 so far: three World Cup dates, both Stapleton nights, and the Big Bay Boom.
On quiet dates, often yes — call (858) 522-0264. On marquee dates the record says no: July 4 closed at 2 PM, Stapleton closed a week early. The cancellation list exists but rarely reopens because confirmed EGT riders don't cancel.
Published flat rates, never surged: San Diego event round trips from $120 (BMW i7) / $200 (Escalade IQ-L, $40 per seat for five). Long-distance and premium event dates (SoFi Stadium, World Cup) carry their own published flat rates on each event page.
Every date on this page closed at the same flat rate it opened at — the people who missed out didn't pay more, they just didn't ride. Book while your date is still open.
