NASCAR makes history at Naval Base Coronado June 19–21, 2026 — the first NASCAR race on an active US military base, on a 3.4-mile 16-turn street course past the carriers. This is not a stadium with a parking lot. The course runs inside the security perimeter of Naval Air Station North Island — expect controlled access, security screening, and traffic management across Coronado all weekend. The Coronado Bridge is the main chokepoint, and event traffic stacks on top of normal summer beach traffic. NASCAR has indicated off-base park-and-ride arrangements and recommends arriving early for security delays.
