SoFi's neighbor, not SoFi's rules

YouTube Theater sits on the Hollywood Park campus alongside SoFi Stadium, shares the same Hyundai-zone parking geography, and is often mistaken for part of the stadium operation. It isn't, and the assumption costs people time at the gate.

Three differences matter on the night. First, YouTube Theater events use the Hyundai Purple and Hyundai Pink zones specifically — a pass for another zone will be turned away at the gate, because zone passes have specific gate assignments and a Pink pass cannot enter a Purple gate. Second, the drop-off point is Lot P in the Pink Zone, entered from Yukon Avenue off Century Boulevard, not SoFi's Kareem Court. Third — and this one works in your favor — the bag rule is the loosest in Inglewood: up to 11″ × 14″, and it doesn't have to be clear. SoFi and the Kia Forum both demand clear bags at 12″×6″×12″; Intuit Dome allows a 10″×6″×2″ clutch and nothing else.

If you're driving yourself: there is no street parking and the City of Inglewood permits no event parking in any residential neighborhood — this is enforced. Tailgating is not allowed. Parking is prepaid via the venue's ticketing partner, priced per event, and the venue does not accept cash at the gate; day-of rates run higher than advance. Zones open 2–4 hours before the show and all lots close one hour after it ends.

A 6,000-seat room changes the trip math

YouTube Theater is a fifth the size of the Kia Forum and a twelfth the size of SoFi Stadium, and that changes what a San Diego trip should look like. The exit crush is smaller, but so is the event — a comedy set or a showcase that runs 90 minutes doesn't justify an LA hotel night, and the whole point of the room is that it's an evening rather than a weekend.

That's exactly the shape a staged round trip fits: leave San Diego late afternoon, dinner en route or at Hollywood Park, show, and home the same night with nobody driving after. A hotel near Inglewood for a Saturday runs $250–$400 before parking and fees. The same-night-return math, in full →

The other thing a small room changes: our inventory goes fast on shared campus nights. When SoFi has a stadium show the same evening, Hollywood Park traffic is a stadium problem regardless of which room you're in — and EGT's fleet is committed early on those dates. See the dated sell-out record →
