Every other premium CBX car service hides its price behind a quote form. EGT publishes the flat rate, locks it at booking, and never surges.

TL;DR

EGT is the only premium San Diego CBX car service with published flat rates — from $49 (Chula Vista), $72 (Downtown), $99 (La Jolla), one way, flight-tracked, in a BMW i7, Cadillac Escalade IQ-L or Rivian R1S. We serve the US-side CBX terminal only in Otay Mesa; you walk the enclosed bridge to Tijuana International (TIJ). Rates are set at Uber Black non-surge and never move. Call (858) 522-0264.

What CBX is, and how the ride works

Cross Border Xpress (CBX) is a private enclosed pedestrian skybridge in Otay Mesa, San Diego that connects directly into Tijuana International Airport (TIJ). You park-and-fly out of TIJ — popular for Volaris, VivaAerobus and Aeroméxico flights across Mexico and beyond — while staying on the US side until the last minute. EGT drops you at the CBX terminal on the US side (2745 Otay Pacific Drive). From there you cross the bridge with your boarding pass and CBX crossing ticket. EGT does not drive into Mexico; pickup and drop-off are US-side only.

Why EGT beats the alternatives

The CBX ground-transport market splits three ways: the official shuttle ($6 from San Ysidro, $11 from Downtown) is cheapest but shared and schedule-bound; rideshare runs ~$30–40 from Downtown but adds a CBX pickup surcharge and surges hard on TIJ's early flight banks; and the premium car services (Elite Lux, Black Falcon, City Captain, Rides On Time and the rest) are all quote-only — not one publishes a CBX price, and all run gas SUVs. EGT is the only premium operator that shows you a flat number, runs an all-electric fleet, tracks your flight, and guarantees no surge. See the full shuttle vs rideshare vs car service comparison.

Frequently asked

How much is a car to CBX from San Diego?

EGT flat rates to the CBX terminal start at $49 from Chula Vista/South Bay, $72 from Downtown/Old Town, $99 from La Jolla/UTC, and $155 from Carlsbad. One way, flight-tracked, in a BMW i7 or Cadillac Escalade IQ-L, set at Uber Black non-surge and never surging.

Does EGT drive into Mexico?

No. EGT serves the CBX terminal on the US side in Otay Mesa. You walk the enclosed pedestrian bridge across to Tijuana International Airport (TIJ). EGT does not drive into Mexico.

Is EGT cheaper than the CBX shuttle or Uber?

The official CBX shuttle is cheaper on a shared, scheduled basis ($6-11). EGT is a private, flat-rate, flight-tracked luxury ride that beats rideshare the moment Uber/Lyft surges, and it is the only premium operator that publishes its price up front.

Do I still need a CBX crossing ticket?

Yes. The CBX bridge crossing ticket (roughly $20-27 one way, cheaper booked in advance) is separate from your EGT ride and is purchased from Cross Border Xpress. EGT gets you to the US-side terminal; you cross with your boarding pass and CBX ticket.
