Why parents choose a named driver over a rideshare
- Rideshare is 18+. Uber and Lyft accounts and solo riders must be adults, so they are not a school-run option.
- One driver, not a rotating pool. Standing routes run with the same driver whenever the schedule allows.
- You stay in the loop. A text at pickup and at drop, every run.
- Licensed, insured charter carrier. CPUC TCP #0046494-A, commercial insurance, quiet all-electric cars (BMW i7, Rivian R1S, Escalade IQ-L).
- Flat and predictable. Quoted once for the route, held for the school year — no surge on rainy mornings.
We ask only for what the route needs: days, times and your neighborhood. Anything about your student is shared on your terms, once you sign up.
Questions Santa Fe Christian Schools parents ask
Can my teen take an Uber or Lyft to Santa Fe Christian Schools?
No. Uber and Lyft require account holders and riders to be 18 or older, so a rideshare is not an option for a student riding alone. EGT is a licensed charter carrier and runs school routes with a parent as the account holder.
How much is a car service to Santa Fe Christian Schools?
School routes are owner-quoted for your exact route and held for the school year — single-zone runs from $75 per leg, longer routes confirmed flat at booking, never metered. Santa Fe Christian Schools sits in Zone 2 to Zone 3 of our rate map.
Do we get the same driver every day?
Yes. Standing school routes are run by the same named driver whenever the schedule allows, and the parent gets a text at pickup and at drop-off.
Can you cover practices, games and late pickups too?
Yes. Activity runs, late pickups after practice or rehearsal, and airport runs for school trips can sit on the same account, quoted flat in advance.
