And the cabin matches the mission: 819 hp when you ask for it, a glass-canopy roof, and a serenity the Taycan 4S deliberately trades for lap times. The Porsche is for the coast road; this is the car for the road. Every handover includes the charging briefing and a route plan — on this car, mostly for reassurance.
How you get it — and the airport rule nobody tells you
The rule: since June 30, 2024, Turo prohibits every host from handing over a vehicle anywhere on San Diego International Airport property. The bridge, free with your booking: Elite Green Transportation holds TCP #0046494-A, so a licensed company chauffeur collects you at baggage claim in a BMW i7 or Escalade IQ-L and drives you to your Lucid — at no charge, scheduled when you book, flight-tracked on the day. Nobody else in the county holds the permit to offer this at any price. Delivery is otherwise unrestricted to every San Diego hotel, any county address, and CBX in Otay Mesa (Turo-permitted). The car arrives charged; an owner walks it with you and photographs it together, on the spot.

Is this really the only Lucid for rent in San Diego?
In our August 4, 2026 survey of public Turo listings it was the only Lucid available to rent countywide — a dated observation, stated as ours; listings change. The dedicated exotic agencies quoted $500–800/day for comparable machinery in the same survey.
Why only Friday to Monday?
It’s the founders’ personal road-trip car, listed for the days it earns its keep. A full Fri–Mon books at about $161/day. Need midweek? The Mach-E runs any day.
Whose car is this, exactly?
A personal vehicle of EGT’s founders, listed on Turo personally. Not a company car, not part of the TCP fleet — Elite Green Transportation does not rent cars. Your contract and protection are Turo’s; the free airport black-car leg is the company’s.
Where do I charge it?
Probably nowhere, on most weekends — that’s the point of 516 miles. If your route needs it, the handover briefing includes the fast chargers that actually work along your plan, and the car arrives at full charge either way.
