TL;DR

San Diego FC vs Club Tijuana — Leagues Cup (Leagues Cup match) at Snapdragon Stadium, Mission Valley, on Sunday, August 9, 2026 — 7:00 PM PT kickoff. Stadium parking is prepaid-only and the trolley exits in one crush. EGT flat round trip from anywhere in metro San Diego: $150 BMW i7 (2), $200 Rivian R1S (up to 4), or $250 Escalade IQ-L (up to 5, $50/seat) — curb drop near the gates, driver staged in Mission Valley, rolls when you walk out. Each vehicle runs one round trip per event — drop at the gate, then a staged pickup about 30–45 minutes after it ends. One party per vehicle; when it's booked, the vehicle is booked for the night. One slot per vehicle — book early. Call (858) 522-0264.

Event night in Mission Valley — what actually happens

Snapdragon Stadium (2101 Stadium Way) is a clear-bag, prepaid-parking venue: there are no walk-up parking sales, and the MTS Green Line trolley — the venue's own recommended option — funnels the entire crowd through one Stadium station platform after the final whistle or encore. Friars Road and the I-8/I-15 interchange take the rest of the load at once.

Cross-border derby — SDFC vs Xolos draws from both sides of the border. Reminder: EGT serves CBX drop-off (you walk across); no driving into Mexico.

EGT's play: curb drop near the gates before the event, driver staged in Mission Valley during it, and a pickup that rolls the moment you text. No prepaid lot, no platform crush, no surge.

Why the price beats the market: the flat rate covers the whole night — both legs — for what hourly services charge before the event even ends. There is no hourly clock and no staged-time billing: you pay for the two rides, not the three hours in between.

Road work the night of this match — read this if you are coming from the border. Caltrans announced on that it will intermittently close several I-5 and SR-905 connectors from 8 p.m. Sunday, August 9 to 6 a.m. Monday, August 10 for signage work. Per Caltrans, the westbound SR-905 connector to northbound I-5 and both southbound I-5 connectors to SR-905 are affected across that whole window, and on the night of August 9 the northbound I-5 and eastbound SR-905 connectors are affected as well. Caltrans lists detours via Coronado Avenue, Dairy Mart Road, West San Ysidro Boulevard and Beyer Boulevard. Kickoff is 7 p.m., so the closures land squarely on the drive home. Separately, Caltrans says the westbound SR-94 connector to northbound I-5 is closed 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., Sunday, August 9 through Thursday, August 13, with a detour via 25th Street and F Street — that one matters for anyone heading north out of downtown or the South Bay after the match.

This is the practical case for a named driver on a derby night: your driver is already tracking the detour before the final whistle, and the flat rate does not move because the route got longer. A rideshare fare on a re-routed, post-match corridor does.

Event listing per the SDFC official Leagues Cup announcement; venue policies per Snapdragon Stadium parking & transportation and the official bag policy. Checked . Closure details per Caltrans District 11, both published : I-5/SR-905 connectors, August 9–10 and SR-94 connectors, August 9–13. Caltrans notes its schedule is subject to change; check QuickMap for live conditions. Checked .
